The Location

Conveniently located along the I-94 corridor in southeast Wisconsin’s Lake Country Area, we are just a short drive to downtown Milwaukee to the east and Madison to the west. We are fortunate to call the idyllic community of Delafield, WI our home. Tucked among the beautiful lakes that surround our wonderful community is a quality of life that surpasses most. We have nearby access to all the best amenities, including great schools, fine local restaurants, water/winter sports, and the arts. All this and we are less than 30 minutes from the home of the Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers.

The Position

We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. Your expertise will directly contribute to our continued success and rapid growth momentum. As an integral part of a phenomenal team, you will support areas including talent management, recruiting/staffing, compensation, benefits administration, HR process standardization, legal compliance, policy/procedure administration, and employee relations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and execute recruiting strategies
  • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
  • Ensure effective communication of Company policies
  • Identify and recommend policy enhancements as needed
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Provide support to other functional areas as necessary
  • Payroll processing backup
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Develop and maintain employee handbook
  • Participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Other duties as assigned

Bring Your Best

  • Bachelor’s degree with Human Resources or Business Administration emphasis required
  • 3-5 years of HR experience
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings
  • Exceptional judgment and soft skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and open communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
